PREPARING FOR YOUR PROJECT
If you have recently chosen Granite State Painters for your project, we thank you! Use this page as a guide to prepare for the painters to arrive!

THINGS TO NOTE:

If you will be away during working hours, Granite State Painters can arrange a lock box or another form of access/lock up

Please let the crew know where there is a designated restroom for them to use during working hours. If you would like to arrange for a porta-potty, please let the office know prior to the start of your project

If crew members are working in rooms that you will need access to after working hours, please let your crew manager know
-
You may hear some banging and/or loud noises from sanders and vacuums
-
During the priming and finishing process, we do our best to contain paint odors but you can anticipate some odors outside the work area
-
Granite State Painters will need a place to store gear and materials while working on your project. This will be discussed with your crew manager

Alarm systems should be disabled
-
Please make necessary arrangements for pets
INTERIOR PROJECTS

Remove all pictures from the walls

Remove all table lamps from work area
-
Remove small accessories from tables, shelves, and mantels
-
Remove all contents from bookshelves
-
Remove all dishes from the top of china cabinets
-
Grandfather clocks should be secured or removed from the work area

Remove towels, rugs, and accessories from bath and powder rooms

Take down curtains and draperies
-
Computers, phones, stereos, and all other electronic equipment should be unplugged from the wall
CABINET PROJECTS

The contents in your cabinets and drawers should be pushed back about 4 inches so the team has room to put up masking

Counters should be cleared
-
Remove all pictures and moveable furniture from the work area

Computers, phones, stereos, and all other electronic equipment should be unplugged from the wall

If your kitchen is being refinished, plan to have a temporary kitchen. You will not have access to your appliances as they will be protected with plastic and tape, including your refrigerator
EXTERIOR PROJECTS

Plan to have all landscaping pulled away from the house prior to the start of your project

Park cars away from the work area
-
Remove all patio/lawn furniture away from the work area

Have your exterior water source turned on
-
Granite State Painters will schedule a pressure washing prior to the start of your project
-
Close/lock all windows and doors during the pressure washing
-
Granite State Painters will not be on site if it is raining
-
During your project, windows and doors may be masked shut for a few days. If there are any windows/doors that you will need access to please make note with your crew manager
